GROUP ASSURANCE The function is set-up to be a business partner providing independent and objective guarantees and advisory services that improve the operational efficiency of the MET Group in a value-creating manner. It evaluates and improves the effectiveness of risk management, control and corporate governance processes through the application of regular and regulated procedures, thereby supporting the MET Group in achieving its objectives.Essential responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and implement the risk-based annual internal audit plan</li><li>Plan and execute audits independently to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies and regulations</li><li>Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations</li><li>Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been taken</li><li>Identify and assess areas of significant business risk</li><li>Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the audit committee</li><li>Communicate audit findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders</li><li>Identify opportunities for improving audit processes and methodologies</li><li>Implement best practices for internal auditing and stay updated with industry trends</li><li>Assess training needs, prepare training materials, and conduct trainings</li></ul>
