Established in 1907, Sargent Electric Company has since evolved into one of the largest electrical contracting companies in the area. We are looking to hire a PAYROLL ASSOCIATE based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.GREAT BENEFITS PACKAGE!!HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE!!PAID PARKING!!RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Provide data entry support that is required to update and maintain the integrity of the information in both the payroll and timekeeping systems.</li><li>Reconcile Payroll reports.</li><li>Make payments timely and accurately.</li><li>Enter deduction arrears for any amounts due from employees.</li><li>Responsible for payroll taxes and fringe reporting.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned or requested.</li></ul>SKILLS:<ul><li>Friendly demeanor, professional and businesslike dress and attitude.</li><li>Excellent written communication skills.  Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.</li><li>Ability to multi-task and to complete work assignments with interruptions.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Iniative to learn all aspects of payroll.</li><li>Demonstrate advanced level proficiency in Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word).</li></ul>-------------------------------------------------------BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Associates in Accounting/Business.</li><li>2 years experience in a business department using accounting software, spreadsheets and database tools.</li></ul>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in Accounting/Business.</li><li>Experience working with payroll software.</li><li>Union payroll experience.</li><li>Vista/Viewpoint software experience</li></ul> </div>
