<p><span>Deputy Fire Chiefs perform and supervise the services consistent with a modern fire service organization. These services generally include (but are not limited to) Fire Rescue and Suppression, Emergency Medical activities, Special Rescue, Mitigation and Recovery activities, and other specialized services in relation to life and property protection.  Non-Emergency activities may be required, including, but not limited to Public Education, Fire Prevention, Tours and other duties as assigned.  These services may be delivered around the clock under a variety of extreme conditions such as severe weather, rapidly changing circumstances, physical and psychological stress.
