Negotiate costs, manage supplier related project schedules and ensure supplier implements qualified production processes.  Deliver the supply chain requirements of the new product introduction process.</li><li>Manage early supplier involvement activities including Design for cost and quality and use knowledge to influence the direction of new designs.</li><li>Project manage supplier resourcing projects.</li><li>Manage value engineering and quality improvement activities</li><li>Manage supplier relationships and supplier development</li><li>Implement, maintain and police contractual agreements and statements of work where appropriate to protect the interests of Raymarine</li><li>Manage supplier implementation of engineering changes for responsible commodities and products</li><li>Responsible for all aspects of supplier quality including:<ul><li>Supplier quality performance measurement and reporting to senior management</li><li>Resolve quality issues quickly and effectively</li><li>Drive proactive quality improvement activities in supply chain</li></ul></li><li>Apply commodity knowledge and production expertise to reduce cost, cycle time and drive efficiencies though the supply chain</li><li>Centre of competence for all quality. engineering and commercial aspects of supplier management for responsible commodities</li><li>Manage compliance requirements associated with responsible commodities such as ROHS, REACH &amp; other relevant country supply chain related environmental legislation </li><li>Primary commodity responsibilities will be mechanical with opportunities to broaden range of experience into other product types.</li></ul>Job Qualifications:  <ul><li>Higher Education qualification in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering preferred with strong desire to work in procurement and supply chain management</li><li>Or Business related qualification with strong interest in engineering</li><li>Relevant experience in lieu of qualification may be considered.</li></ul><div></div>This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e. regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations).
