And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Support Engineer​Etches Park£57,231 per annumPermanentYour new roleAs a Support Engineer at Etches Park, you will be responsible for the investigation of maintenance and safety related vehicle defects. Development of subsequent engineering solutions to ensure contractual reliability targets are achieved and maintenance practices implemented / improved. You will also responsible for those activities relating to design modifications and subsequent applications for customer / regulatory approval for changes<ul><li>East Midlands Railway contract mobilisation and ongoing delivery of the operational engineering requirements. </li><li>Support East Midlands Railway train delivery, testing and commissioning teams.</li><li>Supporting the development of the engineering function that will be required during the testing phase to include modification and engineering change. Ensure all engineering work is recorded into the Maintenance Management System.</li><li>Responsible for improving the safety and reliability of the class 810; monitoring, recording and analysing system defect and failure data to identify root cause, priorities areas of improvement and develop solutions</li><li>Deployment of the initial and ongoing depot engineering processes and procedures relating to engineering change. Incorporate best practice and lessons learnt from the established fleets at other Hitachi TMCs.</li><li>Support the continued development of the SAP maintenance management system (MMS).  Ensure all engineering and modification requirements are captured and delivered.</li><li>Support the development of the core team - act as an engineering representative and mentor to the depot maintenance teams on a shift bases.</li><li>Support the material management team with setting up of the material stores both at Etches Park and at out based locations as required during testing and commissioning.
