<div>Last Energy seeks a Texas Government Affairs Lead to develop and manage relationships with state government stakeholders in Texas. The ideal candidate has recent experience working with or within state government, particularly in energy or infrastructure policy, and brings a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to advancing Last Energy’s interests in Texas.</div><div><br></div><div>This role requires a mix of policy acumen, relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate Last Energy’s mission to diverse stakeholders across the state.</div><br><br><h3>Key Duties &amp; Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Build and maintain strategic relationships with Texas state officials, agencies, and legislative staff</li><li>Monitor, track, and analyze state legislation, regulations, and administrative actions; assess impacts and formulate responses</li><li>Represent Last Energy in meetings, hearings, and events with state policymakers and stakeholders</li><li>Coordinate with external consultants, lobbyists, and trade associations to support advocacy objectives</li><li>Provide briefings to internal leadership on policy and political developments in Texas</li><li>Organize and support site visits, facility tours, and stakeholder events in Texas</li><li>Support grassroots outreach and coalition-building efforts to advance public policy objectives</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>7+ years of experience interfacing with Texas state government</li><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher </li><li>Knowledge of Texas state legislative and regulatory processes, particularly in the energy or infrastructure sectors</li><li>Strong relationship-building and communication skills</li><li>Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and with urgency</li><li>Excellent organizational and project management abilities</li><li>Based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate</li></ul><br>
