This role will collaborate with the social media manager, marketing, and creative teams to produce a variety of content including short and long-form videos, BTS from campaigns, and UGC-style material optimized for digital platforms. The ideal candidate has strong videography and editing skills, a keen eye for storytelling, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position requires regular travel within Southern California and across the U.S. to capture on-location content</div><div><br></div><br><br><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Plan, storyboard, film, and edit videos for campaigns, tutorials, lifestyle shoots, testimonials, and events.</li><li>Capture drone and action footage of e-bikes across urban, suburban, and outdoor settings.</li><li>Repurpose long-form content into short-form videos optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.</li><li>Develop creative video concepts that align with Aventon’s brand identity and marketing goals.</li><li>Manage all aspects of production including lighting, audio, editing, graphics, music, captions, and motion design.</li><li>Ensure all video deliverables meet brand standards and campaign objectives.</li><li>Travel to trade shows, retail/dealer locations, and events to capture lifestyle and live content.</li><li>Coordinate on-location shoots, including scouting, scheduling, and collaborating with ambassadors, influencers, and customers.</li><li>Work closely with the social media manager, marketing, and creative teams to align content with campaigns.</li><li>Partner with influencers and riders to produce user-generated and community-driven content.</li><li>Monitor performance metrics to refine video strategy and stay current with industry trends and platform updates.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, Communications, or equivalent experience.</li><li>2–4 years of proven experience as a videographer, video editor, or content creator (experience with outdoor/lifestyle brands a plus).</li><li>Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar software.</li><li>Strong camera operation skills (DSLR, mirrorless, drones, and action cams like GoPro).</li><li>Solid knowledge of lighting, sound, and color grading techniques.</li><li>Understanding of digital marketing, storytelling, and social media content best practices.</li><li>A creative mindset with strong attention to detail and visual aesthetics.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Available to travel both locally in Southern California and throughout the US </li></ul><h3>Preferred Skills: </h3><ul><li>Experience creating content for outdoor, cycling, or lifestyle brands.</li><li>Knowledge of SEO and video optimization for YouTube and other platforms.</li><li>Photography skills for complementary still content.</li><li>Da Vinci Resolve</li><li>Passion for sustainability, green mobility, and/or cycling.</li><li>Great storytelling skills </li><div><br></div></ul><h3>Keys to Success: </h3><ul><li>DATA DRIVEN – you thrive on data and use it to guide your decision making, recommendations, and priorities. </li><li>NIMBLE – you can work in ambiguity and are committed to helping Aventon level up.
