This individual will work closely with our engineering &amp; design, trades, and project management teams supporting real-world, client-facing project assignments across Re:Build Optimation’s capabilities in the industries we serve.</p><p><strong>Export Control Requirement: </strong> Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.</p><h2>What You Get To Do</h2><p>Support the development of a variety of diagrams, layouts, drawings, and models to support client-facing engineering projects including:</p><p>Process Flow Diagrams describing chemical &amp; mechanical processes</p><p>General Arrangement Drawings or equivalent experience (e.g., Plant Layouts) applying Lean manufacturing concepts</p><p>Equipment Layout &amp; Detail Drawings for fabrication and/or procurement of equipment</p><p>Piping Layout &amp; Detail Drawings for fabrication and assembly of piping systems &amp; components</p><ul><li>Gather data &amp; dimensions of existing process systems including hand measurements and 3D scanning</li><li>Work closely with a senior design mentor to define and implement personal &amp; professional development goals.</li><li>Participate in internal &amp; client-facing project meetings and design reviews.</li><li>Work with project managers to plan, manage, and complete tasks.</li></ul><h2>What You Bring To The Team</h2><ul><li>Currently pursuing an AS or BS degree in Drafting/Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a similar field with equivalent experience.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and personal management skills</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment</li><li>Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced engineering environment; naturally curious</li><li>Experience with CAD software/tools; AutoCAD 2D/3D and/or SolidWorks preferred</li><li>Ability to be on-site at our offices in Rochester, NY and/or Rush, NY</li><li>Experience with Process Design including Process Flow Diagrams, equipment, and piping systems preferred</li><li>Prior co-op, internship, or relevant project experience supporting engineering &amp; design of industrial equipment and/or automation solutions a plus</li><li>Experience working with ISO9001 or similar quality system a plus</li><li>Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools &amp; methodologies a plus</li><li>Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred</li></ul><strong>Compensation Range: </strong>Rate for this position is expected to be between $22 to $25 per hour.<p><strong>We want to work with people that reflect the communities in which we operate</strong></p><p>Re:Build Manufacturing is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
