Assists 1st Class and 2nd Class U.C.&amp;M Men in the performance of the more involved work.</li><li>﻿﻿﻿Will be expected to acquire pole climbing skills necessary in the performance of U.C.&amp;M. work.</li><li>﻿﻿﻿Under close supervision works on energized conductors, structures and equipment not exceeding 600 volts.</li><li>﻿﻿﻿May be required to perform such work as driving truck and operating winch; cleaning parts, oiling, taping, soldering, minor servicing of electrical equipment, install simple power and lighting circuits, installing, removing, connecting or disconnecting electric meters and services.</li><li>﻿﻿﻿Performs other related or less skilled work as directed.</li><li>﻿﻿﻿Must acquire knowledge and skills necessary for advancement to U.C.&amp;M. Man 2nd Class.</li></ul>The knowledge and skills acquired will be determined by an appropriate test.Experience, Education, and Special Information Required<ul><li>﻿﻿﻿Should have had at least one year's experience as Laborer 1/c in the Maintenance Department, or its equivalent.</li><li>﻿﻿﻿Must have the ability to learn the work of the Maintenance Department as indicated by an appropriate test.</li><li>﻿﻿﻿Must be able to perform semi-routine operations of moderate complexity and variety where standard methods of procedure are available.
