This individual will be a sector lead and work with 30+ of the largest utilities around the world to identify and execute on opportunities to deploy new technology and services in innovative T&amp;D. They’ll be a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and the senior leadership team at EIP, advising on go-to-market strategy and enterprise sales across various industries. Responsibilities: Generate sector research &amp; insight<ul> <li>Lead market analysis on a wide variety of topics – synthesizing industry research and data from diverse sources to generate insight that’s simply unavailable anywhere else</li> <li>Build market landscapes for investable target companies</li> <li>Develop credibility as a trusted internal advisor on key trends and markets</li> <li>Identify the transformational impact that emerging technology might have on our strategic partners’ businesses</li> </ul>Collaborate with our deal teams<ul> <li>Leverage market research and strategic partner relationships to source new investment opportunities</li> <li>Work closely with investment team members in diligence efforts by facilitating feedback from the experts in our strategic partner base and executing in-house market analysis</li> <li>Enable effective portfolio company management through ongoing engagement and collaboration between investors nd customers</li> </ul>Engage our strategic partners<ul> <li>Lead working groups of subject matter experts and operational leaders from our strategic partner consortium</li> <li>Work hand in hand with partners on building business cases and deployment pathways for the transformational technology in our portfolio</li> <li>Present market insights to utility c-suites and T&amp;D leadership, and periodically to external audiences to build your and EIP’s brand</li> </ul>Support our portfolio<ul> <li>Meet quarterly with the commercial leaders at each of our T&amp;D portfolio companies</li> <li>Generate high-quality leads for the portfolio based on your knowledge of the objectives and needs of our strategic partners</li> <li>Manage the pipeline of commercial opportunities between our T&amp;D portfolio companies and our strategic partners; leverage EIP relationships and insights to accelerate pipeline velocity</li> <li>Advise on product development roadmaps, product positioning, and go-to-market strategy</li> <li>Share actionable insight with our portfolio on market dynamics &amp; opportunities</li> </ul>Requirements<ul> <li>5-8 years of professional experience in T&amp;D strategy, planning, engineering, and/or operations, either within a utility or in the supporting ecosystem of advisors, engineering services firms, and technology providers</li> <li>Excellent technical understanding complemented by commercial savvy – i.e. a clear understanding of how T&amp;D investment and operations impact utility financials and how spend is committed in these organizations</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to build and maintain deep professional relationships</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills and capability to assess complex business cases</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>An independent mindset and intellectual curiosity</li> <li>A proven track record of working effectively on a team and being a good teammate</li> <li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li> </ul>
