Join QVEX’s software team as a Project Lead, where your leadership will directly shape the success of real robotics systems!  Guide a group of general members with the help of a Technical Lead to guarantee the flow and quality of various software projects throughout the year. You’ll have the chance to learn and develop programming skills while perfecting your communication, leadership, teamwork, initiative and organization expertise.Role Description<ul><li>Lead Team Operations: Organize and run meetings that keep your project on track and moving forward. Clearly outline meeting goals, check in with project members, and ensure your project team knows what to focus on.</li><li>Manage Tasks &amp; Accountability: Assign work based on input from the technical lead, track team members’ progress.</li><li>Document progress: Keep records of meeting notes, task updates, and project milestones so the team can stay informed.</li><li>Work with a Technical Lead: Collaborate closely to divide tasks, align technical direction with project goals, and support the team in reaching deliverables.</li><li>Contribute Technically: Take on your own technical tasks alongside leadership duties, building skills and learning through hands-on project work.</li><li>Commitment: ~3–6 hours/week, depending on project stage</li></ul> Benefits<ul><li>Rotate Across Projects: You’ll be matched to different projects during the semester based on your interests and team needs, giving you opportunity to manage and learn from a diverse array of projects and groups.</li><li>Professional Development: Learn professional skills unique to a technical managerial role without having to master the technical side. </li><li>Learn Technical Skills Too: You’ll also be able to contribute to technical tasks, so you’ll have the opportunity to stay close to the work and not just manage it.</li><li>Build your Experience with a World-Recognized Robotics Team: Contribute to high-level projects with QVEX, one of the top competitive robotics teams globally (great experience to showcase on your resume!).</li></ul>DEADLINE TO APPLY: September 30th, 2025 (11:59 PM EST)Interviews will occur in person at the ILC between October 1st and 5th.
