We’re building a team of sharp, mission-driven, and collaborative individuals who take pride in using their skills to contribute to a sustainable future.  Position Overview Arca is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Intern to join our team for a 4-month placement, starting January 2026.  Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of climate technology, business development, and operations. The intern will support critical commercial functions, including market research, data management, and process improvement. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain commercial experience in one of the fastest-growing areas of climate technology. The successful candidate will build valuable professional skills while contributing directly to Arca’s mission of carbon removal at scale.  Responsibilities The intern will lead or contribute to various new and ongoing projects and initiatives. These may include, but are not limited to:  Market Research <ul><li>Execute desk research to identify trends in the carbon dioxide removal (CDR) market, including buyer motivations, procurement processes, and emerging industry developments. </li></ul><ul><li>Support mapping of prospective industry partners and feedstock availability, developing concise summaries and recommendations for Arca’s commercial team. </li></ul><ul><li>Track policy, compliance, and voluntary carbon market updates relevant to Arca’s strategy and prepare digestible briefs for internal use. </li></ul>Data Management <ul><li>Lead the updating and organization of records in Arca’s CRM platform, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. </li></ul><ul><li>Provide recommendations for improvements to CRM structure to enable better visibility and reporting.  </li></ul><ul><li>Identify and implement improvements to file management across SharePoint folders related to commercial activities. Ensure key documents are properly catalogued and easy to access. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop guidance notes or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal users to ensure consistent practices and conventions.</li></ul>External Collateral Development <ul><li>Support the design and drafting of one-pagers, template emails, and slide decks for use with external stakeholders. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure materials are consistent, accurate, and aligned with Arca’s brand and messaging. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with team members to gather inputs and finalize deliverables. </li></ul> Requirements of the role <ul><li>Currently enrolled student in Business Administration, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Geoscience, Engineering, or a related field. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights. </li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency with core Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint. Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot is an asset. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce concise, accurate, and engaging documents. </li></ul><ul><li>Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
