This role requires strong hands-on IT experience, with the ability to seamlessly integrate cybersecurity principles into everyday IT operations. What You’ll Do: <ul><li>IT Infrastructure &amp; Systems</li><ul><li>Design, implement, and support enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, endpoints, cloud services).</li><li>Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Intune, and identity/access management systems.</li><li>Administer collaboration platforms, SaaS applications, and endpoint device security.</li><li>Monitor system performance and optimize for reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.</li></ul><li>Cybersecurity Operations</li><ul><li>Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls across endpoints, servers, networks, and cloud environments.</li><li>Conduct regular vulnerability scans, patch management, and incident response activities.</li><li>Collaborate with internal teams to enforce security policies, data protection, and compliance standards.</li><li>Support security awareness training by providing technical expertise and insights.</li></ul><li>Cross-Functional Support</li><ul><li>Partner with R&amp;D, Engineering, and Business teams to deliver secure IT solutions that enable innovation.</li><li>Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex IT and security issues.</li><li>Participate in IT projects (system upgrades, cloud migrations, security tool deployments).</li></ul><li>Governance, Risk, &amp; Compliance</li><ul><li>Support IT audits and compliance initiatives (SOX, ISO 27001, NIST CSF).</li><li>Maintain documentation for IT and security configurations, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Ensure adherence to QuantumScape’s AI and security usage policies. </li></ul></ul>Skills You’ll Need: Required <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.</li><li>5–8+ years of hands-on IT engineering/administration experience in enterprise environments.</li><li>Strong expertise in:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune</li><li>Windows, Linux, and macOS administration</li><li>Networking (firewalls, switches, VPN, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)</li><li>Endpoint and server patching, system hardening</li></ul></li><li>Practical experience implementing and managing cybersecurity tools (EDR, SIEM, DLP, MFA, vulnerability management).</li><li>Solid understanding of ITIL practices, system monitoring, and change management.</li></ul> Nice to Have: <ul><li>Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+, CCNA, MS-500, Azure/AWS certifications).</li><li>Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS) and zero-trust architecture.</li><li>Prior work in high-growth, technology-driven companies.</li></ul> Key Competencies: <ul><li>Strong problem-solving skills with a “hands-on” approach to IT and security challenges.</li><li>Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>High accountability and ownership of IT systems’ reliability and security.</li><li>Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.</li><li>Strong teamwork, with the ability to work independently when needed.</li></ul> What We Value: <ol><li>Strategic problem solver with strong execution skills.</li><li>Passion for innovation, customer service, and growth mindset.</li><li>Ownership mentality and ability to lead in a dynamic environment.</li><li>Clear communicator who builds trust across all levels.</li></ol> ONSITE: This position is required to work onsite 5 days per week to meet the minimum essential duties and requirements of this position.  As an on-site R&amp;D and manufacturing operations organization, in-person face to face interaction is essential to building authentic relationships, trust, teamwork, and collaboration.  Compensation &amp; Benefits: Salary range for this role is $104,600-159,500, and a salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background.
