From tracking raw materials to analyzing finished goods, you’ll play a key role in shaping strategies that improve performance and strengthen profitability.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. <ul><li>Product Costing:<ul><li>Calculate and track the cost of manufactured products, including Raw materials, Direct labor, and Factory overhead (utilities, depreciation, etc.).</li><li>Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Routing Costs accurately in the ERP system (SAP).</li></ul></li><li>Standard Cost Development &amp; Maintenance:<ul><li>Develop standard costs for each product or production process.</li><li>Annual review and update of standard costs based on actuals or changes in operations.</li><li>Analyze changes in production or procurement that impact costs.</li></ul></li><li>Variance Analysis:<ul><li>Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews.</li><li>Identify and explain variances between: Standard vs. Actual Costs, Planned vs. Actual Material Usage, Labor Efficiency (actual hours vs. standard hours), and Overhead Absorption Variances.</li><li>Prepare variance reports for operations and finance teams to support corrective actions.</li></ul></li><li>Inventory Valuation &amp; Control:<ul><li>Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts (raw materials, WIP, finished goods).</li><li>Ensure proper valuation methods (FIFO, weighted average, etc.) are applied.</li><li>Participate in cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.</li></ul></li><li>Budgeting and Forecasting:<ul><li>Support manufacturing budgets (material, labor, overhead).</li><li>Assist in long-term planning for capital expenditures and cost reduction strategies.</li></ul></li><li>Cost Allocation:<ul><li>Support the month end close process through the preparation and posting of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.</li><li>Allocate indirect costs (e.g., utilities, rent, maintenance) across cost centers or product lines using cost drivers (e.g., machine hours, labor hours).</li></ul></li><li>ERP and Manufacturing System Support:<ul><li>Maintain cost-related data in ERP systems (SAP).</li><li>Ensure integration of cost accounting with production, purchasing, and inventory modules.</li></ul></li><li>Additional Duties:<ul><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors during audits.</li><li>Process capital expenditures.</li><li>Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams.</li><li>Ad-hoc analysis as needed.</li></ul></li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or financial/accounting with 3-5 years of business experience</li><li>Must have a working knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“US GAAP").</li><li>Must have the ability to engage business process owners in a direct yet professional manner, thoroughly evaluate business processes, and quickly identify potential control gaps.</li><li>Requires demonstrated skill in written and oral communications and interview skills.</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint skills, and SAP ERP system.</li><li>Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
