Job description<br>                                <div style="text-align:justify;">We are currently seeking a <strong>Communications and Climate Advisor </strong>for our international and diverse Climate Diplomacy Team to support the Caribbean Climate Envoy with communications and adviser tasks relating to SIDS sustainability and planning. </div><div style="text-align:justify;"> </div><div style="text-align:justify;"><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></div><br><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">You will mainly provide remote communications support to the Climate Envoy during the following events/activities: </li></ul><ol><li><br><ol><li style="text-align:justify;">UNFCCC meetings (October)</li><li style="text-align:justify;">CARICOM Meeting (October)</li><li style="text-align:justify;">PreCOP (October)</li><li style="text-align:justify;">COP30 (November)</li></ol></li></ol><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Besides these events you will respond to any ad-hoc requests from the Climate Envoy that arise.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">You will also lead/provide support to any communications and/or event related deliverables including but not limited to the development of communications strategies, communications support for events, webinars, and workshops, and facilitation of media training as outlined in project scopes.                         </li><li style="text-align:justify;">You will work closely with the SIDS Team based in Trinidad and Tobago as well as with the Climate Analytics Communications Team.</li></ul>                            Your profile<br>                                <div style="text-align:justify;">You will ideally have the following qualifications and skills:</div><ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Background in environmental studies, international relations or related field</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Work experience in the field of climate change preferably with SIDS </li><li style="text-align:justify;">Experiences with managing and implement strategic communications efforts that advance the priorities of your principal</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Experience with event planning and facilitation efforts, including webinars and conferences</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Experience in the preparation of briefs, strategy documents and talking points in support of a Senior Official.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">The world of diplomacy is very dynamic, with last-minute changes and uncertainties happening rather frequently. This does not unsettle you, but you are excited by the challenge and driven by the idea to make a difference.</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Our working language is English, therefore excellent English writing and verbal skills are necessary.
