We are looking for a Senior Environment &amp; Sustainability Specialist – Operational Standards, to work within our Business Area Wind, in the Standards Support Function and more specifically within the Environment &amp; Sustainability (EnSu) Team. EnSu provides environmental &amp; sustainability expertise, advice and operational support to the Business Units within the Business Area Wind; namely the Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind &amp; Solar &amp; Battery Business Units through all phases of the project life cycle from development and construction, through to operation and decommissioning, or divestment.This role bridges project execution and operational excellence, with a strong focus on procurement coordination, contractor deliverables management, and environmental management systems. If you have management system and procurement experience, an environmental or sustainability background, and speak English at a professional level, then this could be the role for you! Your role / what will you do? You will report to the Head of the Projects &amp; Operation &amp; Maintenance Team within the EnSu Unit, in a central support role that encompasses coordination of:<ul><li>Vattenfall &amp; contractor environmental &amp; sustainability compliance tracking &amp; reporting;</li><li>EnSu related data management and system maintenance</li><li>Process and environmental management system updates based on alignments with subject matter experts;</li><li>Procurement support for the EnSu team;</li><li>Alignment between the EnSu team and key stakeholders such as the Quality, Health &amp; Safety Operational Standards (QHS OS) team and the Integrated Management System (IMS) team.</li></ul>Your main tasks and responsibilities as Senior Environment &amp; Sustainability Specialist – Operational Standards:Managing Environmental Compliance<ul><li>Review, and facilitate updates to contractor management and performance documentation;</li><li>Create and update tools to track contractor management and performance, and ensure efficient collection, entry, and analysis of environmental and sustainability data.</li><li>Monitor and audit contractors against environmental standards and deliver guidance for what the expected standards coming from Vattenfall are;</li><li>Analyse environmental events coming from sites from a centralised dashboard, focusing on trends and data across all wind, solar and battery assets;</li><li>Participate in sustainability assessments and internal audits with follow-up actions;</li></ul>Performance and improvement<ul><li>Collect environmental &amp; sustainability performance data from sites &amp; identify trends &amp; outliers across the assets and systematic ways of improving data collection &amp; management;</li><li>Assisting with implementation of the overall Environmental strategy for BA Wind;</li><li>Maintain and communicate performance updates, integrating them into reporting channels;</li></ul>Contribute to incident analysis. Manage and improve incident classification and reporting in the incident management system, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights;Document &amp; Process Contributions<ul><li>Co-author and facilitate updates of key documents and processes within the Environmental Management System for continual improvements and driving simplification;</li><li>Assist in document control</li><li>Support the transition of existing and new processes and documents into a new management system under development and in coordination with QHS OS and IMS.</li></ul>Environment and Sustainability within procurement<ul><li>Lead and coordinate EnSu support for tenders and contracts where Vattenfall is the employer, including specification, procurement, and contractor onboarding;</li><li>Primary point of contact for procurement leads, QHS leads and coordinators, and sustainability stakeholders, ensuring that requests, updates, and improvements are communicated, tracked, and implemented effectively;</li><li>Ensure correct routing of requests via Vattenfall procurement platforms;</li><li>Represent environment in procurement strategy meetings, contributing to dashboard updates, training visibility, and process automation and improvement discussions;</li></ul>As a Senior Environment &amp; Sustainability Specialist – Operational Standards, you will have general knowledge and enthusiasm about environmental &amp; sustainability topics but detailed knowledge about management systems, procurement and process management. With a multi-faceted role, you will need organizational, analytical and time management skills.
