In this role as a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for performing various types of testing and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure all deliverables meet quality standards. You will be ensuring maximum test coverage by working closely with Product Owner and Product Manager and incorporating their feedback in your day-to-day testing. As an important part of GFL’s Architecture and Development team, you will be collaborating with Senior QA Engineer to make useful contributions to the QA Automation framework. You will get a chance to work on all layers of modern PWAs built using Svelte, AWS Aurora, Kafka and Data lake.  Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop a robust and maintainable test case repository in a Test Management platform, TestRail.</li><li>Collaborate closely with software engineers and the project team to ensure the deliverables meet quality requirements and test coverage.</li><li>Perform functional, system, integration, and regression testing.</li><li>Develop a robust and maintainable repository of automated tests.</li><li>Log defects and work closely with engineers to troubleshoot and verify fixes.</li><li>Create quality status reports and escalate issues effectively to the project team.</li><li>Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent program.</li><li>Minimum 3+ years of QA experience.</li><li>Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including white-box, regression, and integration testing.</li><li>Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.</li><li>Familiarity with SQL and experience testing against different relational and non-relational databases.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Must be a self-driven individual willing to proactively undertake any QA tasks as time progresses.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul>Preferred Skills:<ul><li>2 years of hands-on experience with testing enterprise applications developed in Svelte or any modern JS Framework. Familiarity with data streaming architecture is a plus.</li><li>Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.</li></ul>  We thank you for your interest.
