The position will report to the Production Supervisor.  We are looking for qualified candidates with mechanical maintenance abilities.  This position requires industrial rotating equipment mechanical maintenance skills and experience.  Machinists and welding skills and abilities are preferred, but not required.This position will require shift work.  Plant Technician – Maintenance will be required to learn plant operational duties and complete operational training qualifications.  Plant operational duties will be required as directed. The expected salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Uses computerized maintenance management system to maintain and control work order system spare parts inventory and to properly close and document completed work orders. Trains and develops other employees in performing preventive maintenance and routine equipment service activities. Assesses equipment or system problem identification and recommends solutions. Develops maintenance procedures for plant equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation. Ensures that appropriate safety tagging procedures are followed. Assists in requisitioning parts and supplies. Operates, maintains and troubleshoots various types of equipment. Ensures equipment maintenance schedules are adhered to and any malfunctions are reported, documented and addressed. Will be subject to rotating shift work, holiday and weekend work in addition to short overtime notice. Serves as technical liaison between Contract Administrator and contract service provider. Completes all compliance training requirements (NERC, OSHA, Environmental, etc.).Skills/Competencies:Performs job duties safely and adheres to all safety and environmental compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to complete job assignments in a setting that requires teamwork, as well as independent decision making in an industrial environment. Skills are required in the area of maintenance. Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
