This role will be hands-on with the equipment and be part of our injection team responsible for handling, processing and injecting </span><a href="http://bio-oil.This"><span style="font-size:12pt;">bio-oil.</span></a></div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://team.The"><span style="font-size:12pt;">The</span></a><span style="font-size:12pt;"> Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of equipment used for injection operations. This role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance practices and continuous improvement of asset performance. The specialist will also perform high-quality welding and fabrication activities to support processing and injection operations.</span></div><div><br></div><div>Schedule: </div><div>Monday-Friday 8am-5pm</div><div><br></div><br><br><h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Perform welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys as required.</li><li>Fabricate custom components including pipe supports, skids, brackets, and structural reinforcements based on blueprints or field measurements.</li><li>Conduct field welding on piping, tanks, and production equipment.</li><li>Weld and repair cracked, worn, or damaged equipment and pipework on-site to restore integrity and reduce downtime.</li><li>Use cutting torches, grinders, and plasma cutters to prep work surfaces.</li><li>Execute preventive maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment including pumps, compressors, engines, valves, and rotating machinery.</li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures in the field.</li><li>Perform corrective repairs or escalate major failures to relevant specialists or vendors.</li><li>Operate the infrastructure (ie. pumps, light equipment, valves, tanks, automated equipment) and troubleshoot downtime, documenting learnings to share with your fellow operators to increase system reliability</li><li>Develop and continuously improve standard operating procedures for site operations</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean job site by observing all safety instructions, handling materials with the proper precautions, picking up tools and equipment when not in use, and making suggestions for improvements to safety procedures and practices</li><li>Use machinery and powered equipment (i.e. forklift, personnel baskets, telehandler, etc) when required for job preparation or execution.</li></ul><h3>Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Experience around heavy machinery and equipment</li><li>Experience with mechanical and electrical components and tools</li><li>Experience operating a forklift, telehandler, skid steer, tractor, other agricultural implements and/or willingness to learn. <p>Our mission is to reverse climate change and return the atmosphere to 280 ppm CO₂. To pursue this challenge, we convert waste biomass into carbon-rich bio-oil and inject it into permanent, underground storage wells as a form of carbon removal, or reform it to produce green hydrogen and syngas for industrial processes like steel, cement, and chemicals manufacturing.</p>
<p>In 2020 and 2021, our carbon removal technology has gained traction with partners like Stripe, Shopify &amp; Microsoft. In the next 18 months, we will deploy the latest and greatest version of our mobile pyrolysis plant, perform a pilot demonstration of our green syngas technology with a steel plant, substantially expand our commercial operations in the Midwest and put more than 1,000 tonnes of CO₂e underground.</p>
