This role, based in <strong>Newark, CA</strong>, will involve a focus on engineering change management, with an emphasis on delivery and execution in high-stakes compressed timing environments.</p><p><strong>You will:</strong></p><ul><li>Act as <strong>primary PMO point of contact</strong> between Design Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing engineering for product and equipment changes.</li><li>Understand product design changes on manufacturing equipment impact.</li><li>Implement and track changes presented from the New Product Introduction team.</li><li>Manage <strong>project timelines, budgets, and risks</strong> for equipment build, testing, and shipment.</li><li>Enforce <strong>key business and technical criteria</strong> standards during equipment validation.</li><li>Coordinate <strong>FAT/SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)</strong> and sign-off pre-shipment.</li><li>Report progress, escalate bottlenecks, and ensure <strong>seamless equipment implementation and validation.</strong></li><li>Fundamental understanding of <strong>Machine Tool Building</strong> mechanical, electrical, controls to build automation equipment from design to buyoff.</li><li>Fundamental understanding of all site installation requirements including Electrical, foundation, air, etc.</li><li>Ensure the project team is prioritizing tasks and completing them to meet project milestones.</li><li>Develop and maintain risk assessments to mitigate timeline and cost impacts.</li><li>Gain holistic knowledge of the product, production processes, and manufacturing technologies to understand and mitigate risks, as well as to recognize optimization opportunities.</li><li>Manage on-site installation planning with equipment integrators.</li><li>Develop and execute <strong>FAT/SAT</strong> requirements for equipment buyoffs with integrators.</li><li>Create and modify Microsoft Project/ Smartsheet schedules.</li></ul><div><strong>You bring:</strong></div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.</li><li><strong>A minimum of five (5) years of experience</strong> in battery manufacturing engineering/ project management.</li><li>Experience working with the following equipment: robotics, end of arm tooling (EOAT), pick and place automation, position sensors, material handling, fluid dispensing, deflection analysis, vision systems, conveyor and laser cleaning/ metrology.</li><li>Experience with <strong>EV-specific (required)</strong><strong> Battery Pack &amp; Module production lines</strong>, GD&amp;T, Laser welding, Wire bonding, bar code reading, vision system inspection, potting, HV testing, ASRS equipment, End of line testing, Adhesive applications, box cutting automation.</li><li>Working knowledge of MS project and AutoCAD (must have).</li><li>Working Knowledge of Catia and Delmia (preferred).</li><li>Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (domestic and international).</li><li>Possess knowledge and experience across multiple functions within product design and manufacturing.</li><li>Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.</li></ul></div><div>At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
