We hope you will join us.  The RoleCCR is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst with strong expertise in gas and power markets, trading, and quantitative modeling to join our growing Quantitative Analytics team. This role will play a critical part in shaping CCR’s risk management strategies, optimizing trading decisions, and supporting the expansion of our energy portfolio.The ideal candidate combines technical modeling expertise with practical trading experience in power markets, along with a passion for advancing renewable energy integration in competitive energy markets.Main ResponsibilitiesPower Market Forecasting<ul><li>Build and maintain forecasting models for nodal prices, congestion, and volatility in ISO/RTO markets.</li><li>Analyze market fundamentals (supply/demand, transmission constraints, policy drivers) and their impact on solar and storage assets.</li><li>Incorporate renewable profiles, battery storage dispatch, and correlated risks into modeling frameworks.</li></ul>Trading &amp; Risk Support<ul><li>Support real-time and forward trading activities through quantitative insights and scenario analysis.</li><li>Assess basis, spreads, and correlations between locations in our portfolio.</li><li>Partner with traders to identify arbitrage opportunities and manage risk exposure.</li></ul>Data &amp; Tools Development<ul><li>Build analytical tools and dashboards for risk management, hedging strategies, and performance monitoring.</li><li>Automate data pipelines and improve workflow efficiency for market data, forecasts, and trading strategies.</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with trading, risk management, development, and finance teams to align market views with CCR’s asset portfolio.</li><li>Provide insights to leadership on market conditions, risks, and strategic opportunities.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related quantitative discipline (Master’s or PhD preferred).</li><li>2–5 years of experience in in risk analytics, quantitative modeling, or portfolio management in wholesale power markets.</li><li>Strong knowledge of ISO/RTO market structures, nodal pricing, congestion, and renewable integration.</li><li>Proven experience building and applying statistical, econometric, and stochastic models for trading and risk.</li><li>Proficiency in Python for quantitative modeling and data analysis.</li><li>Familiarity with risk systems, valuation methods, and power market datasets (e.g., ISO market data, EIA, ICE).</li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex models to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul>Locations: This role will be based out the CCR offices in Chicago, working on a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office, 2 days remote.Compensation: $120,000-$145,000 base plus bonus and benefits package.Benefits:<ul><li>15 days of Paid Time Off, accrual up to 20 days, 11 observed holidays.</li><li>401(k) Match</li><li>Comprehensive package including medical, dental, vision and health insurance</li><li>Wellness stipend, family planning stipend, and generous parental leave</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li><li>Phone Bill Reimbursement</li><li>Company Swag</li></ul>A note to Recruiting Agencies Cypress Creek Renewables Human Resources team does not accept unsolicited resumes from third party recruiters, staffing firms, or related agencies.
