AECOM is seeking a Director of Collaborative Delivery to be based in Boulder, Colorado. The role of a Director of Collaborative Delivery in an engineering firm is multifaceted and pivotal to the overall success of projects. A Director of Collaborative Delivery serves as a bridge between the technical and business aspects of a project, ensuring that the organization achieves its financial and strategic objectives while maintaining strong client relationships.Responsibilities<ul><li>Responsible for the commercial operations of assigned projects, which includes effective oversight of the project’s contracts, subcontracts, earned value calculation, cashflow, risk management, and financial reporting. </li><li>Active member of the management team and will provide guidance on all areas of responsibility. </li><li>Help with commercial terms on collaborative delivery projects, starting with SRP and others identified in Central Water.</li><li>Maintain relationships with Contractors in the Pacific West Market and build new ones</li><li>Help support upcoming progressive design build pursuits in Los Angeles, San Diego, and possibly LA.</li></ul>General<ul><li>Functions as a deputy reporting directly to the project/design manager with communication ties to teams’ internal principal(s), collectively, the project management team.</li><li>Coordinates with other corporate teams such as finance, legal, HR, insurance, tax and the office of risk management to provide financial and commercial input reporting.</li><li>Manages or collaborates with the project commercial teams consisting of schedulers, project analysts, document control manager, project accountants and other support teams.</li><li>Highlights areas of concern to the project management team and assists in developing corrective actions and strategies.</li><li>Develops and presents monthly commercial status updates to the region/business line leadership, risk review committees, etc.</li></ul>Contract Oversight<ul><li>Supports the negotiation of contract terms and conditions.</li><li>Implements procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with AECOM policy.</li><li>Prepares correspondence and maintains records necessary to document the effective administration of contractual matters.</li><li>Implements change management procedures and drives procedures throughout project lifecycle.</li><li>Tracks and monitors the status of all potential and actual changes on the project.</li><li>Leads the development of change cost and schedule impact analysis.</li><li>Assists project/design manager with change negotiations and change order processing with the client.</li><li>Works with project legal team to help develop and provide contract awareness and change management training for project staff.</li><li>Administers prime contract and flow down terms to subconsultants.</li><li>Develops potential back charges or claims to subconsultants.</li><li>Oversees tracking of potential claims for or against AECOM.</li><li>Assists the project/design manager with potential damages quantification.</li><li>Liaise with internal and external counsel as required.</li></ul>Risk Management<ul><li>Assists the project/design manager with the development and assembly of the project risk register with contribution from technical leadership on risk identification and risk mitigation plans.</li><li>Leads regular project risk register updates and monitors the status of the risk mitigation plan.</li></ul>Cost, Schedule, Cash Flow and Performance Monitoring<ul><li>Ensures the project unified work breakdown structure (WBS) and control accounts in compliance with best practices and AECOM policy.</li><li>Assists the project/design manager with the assembly of fee estimates incorporating all discipline input and participates in negotiations with clients.</li><li>Establishes and maintains baseline budgets.</li><li>Leads schedule variance analysis reporting.</li><li>Develops and oversees variance reporting against baselines including variance analysis.</li><li>Establishes earned value models and planned value baselines.</li><li>Establishes and maintains earned value cost variance, CPI and SPI reporting including variance analysis.</li><li>Evaluates staffing, level of effort, and cost forecasts versus budget.</li><li>Establishes baseline schedule based on client requirements, contract requirements and considering key areas of schedule delay exposure.</li><li>Leads regular schedule updates within P6 and weekly three-week look ahead schedules for use both internally and externally.</li><li>Provides input on mitigation plans with the project team as required.</li><li>Oversees the billing and cash collection processes.</li><li>Oversees the preparation of regular estimate-at-completion updates in compliance with AECOM policy and presents project financial status updates to project/design manager.</li></ul>
