Safety, environment, and wellbeing are our foundation, and we never compromise them. We are looking for a Service Mechanic to work on 4-stroke engines and join our team. The preferred location for this position is in Gdansk, Poland.   Your role and responsibilities   As a Service Mechanic, your work will focus on these responsibilities:  <ul><li>Perform Mechanical maintenance on Wartsila products or similar medium bore diesel engines.</li><li>Overhaul engine components  at site/on board including some in situ machining. </li><li>Carry out engine product trouble shooting, routine maintenance &amp; components investigation. </li><li>Check and adjust relevant systems (i.e. auxiliary equipment).  </li><li>Identify failures, making adjustments, assist on trial runs and testing of Mechanical installations according to instructions.  </li><li>Provide internal and external work reports according to Wärtsilä standards.</li></ul> To be successful in this role, we expect you have:  <ul><li>Strong knowledge of auxiliaries equipment. </li><li>Fluent Polish and good command of English in speaking and writing. </li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with people from different culture. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure. </li><li>Openness to travel/ globally, up to 7-8 months per year </li><li>Motivation to learn and grow professionally. </li><li>Ability to generate technical reports.</li></ul> Why you and us? You are valued – as your true self.
