As an IDAP Associate Data Scientist, you'll work alongside our most talented data experts on one to two major data projects that directly impact NextEra Energy's operations and strategic initiatives. Projects may span optimization, regression, classification, forecasting, image/object detection, natural language processing, and working with large language models (LLMs). This program will build your business acumen, energy industry knowledge, and technical skills through mentorship and support from your teammates and leaders in the company. Upon successful completion of IDAP, you'll transition into a data science role within NextEra Energy's business units, positioning you as a valuable member of our data science community.We're seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in data science and machine learning, and a solid programming background, ideally in Python. You should be able to demonstrate your knowledge through academic accomplishments or prior work experience. You are self-driven, curious and have a desire to grow, improve yourself, and the world around you.
