Warehouse Driver & logistics Coordinator

<div class="\&quot;job-descr"> <h1> Position: Warehouse Driver and Logistics Coordinator </h1> Main Location Facility: Brooklyn, NY (with travel out of state) Reports to: BSW Warehouse Manager Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 6am- 2pm; 40 hours per week (some evenings/weekends may be required) NonExempt <h1>About the Position</h1> Brooklyn SolarWorks is seeking a professional and punctual individual to occupy its Driver and Logistics Coordinator position. The position will mainly be responsible for making deliveries, preparing deliveries, and supporting the warehouse team with organizing, inventory management and cleaning. A large component of the job is the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles. As such, a valid driver’s license and a demonstrated history of responsible driving are required. Brooklyn SolarWorks considers applicants consistent with the requirements of Article 23-A of the New York Correction Law. Position functions and qualifications may vary depending on business necessity. Responsibilities: <ul> <li> Make deliveries throughout NYC and the Tri-State area, for both in-house and third party projects. </li> <li> Prepare deliveries - requires using power tools including saws, drills, impact drivers. </li> <li> Read and understand architectural drawings. </li> <li> Organize and record inventory on a weekly basis using company CRM. </li> <li> Support in the ordering and receiving of inventory. </li> <li> Drive forklift. </li> <li> Support Maintenance of Vehicle Fleet </li> <li> Support warehouse cleanliness - organizing, waste management, sweeping, etc. </li> <li> Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods and material. </li> <li> Carry out additional duties as required by the BSCC President, BSW VP Installations, or Warehouse Manager </li> </ul> Required Skill Set <ul> <li> High school diploma required. </li> <li> Valid NYS Driver’s license required. </li> <li> A clean driving record is required. </li> <li> Multi years of driving experience required. </li> <li> Excellent navigation skills and proficiency using navigation apps. </li> <li> Forklift certification is required or obtained within 90 days of hire. </li> <li> Must have or obtain DOT Medical Card immediately (within one week of start date) </li> <li> Ability to drive Class 3 and 4 Medium Duty Trucks. </li> <li> Physically able to lift 50lbs or more. </li> <li> Required to stand, drive or walk for long periods at a time. </li> <li> Team-oriented and friendly disposition. </li> <li> Highly organized and detail oriented. </li> <li> Ability to travel and work irregular hours. </li> <li> Ability to work independently and under moderate supervision. </li> <li> Punctuality, Good Attendance and Time Management skills are required. </li> <li> Familiarity with basic power tools is required. </li> <li> Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. </li> </ul> Preferred Skill Set <ul> <li> Familiarity with preventative automotive care </li> <li> A passion for Brooklyn SolarWorks mission. </li> <li> Experience driving a forklift is strongly preferred. </li> <li> OSHA 40 is preferred. </li> </ul> Benefits/Compensation: <ul> <li> $25-27 per hour </li> <li> (Free options are available) Health (HSA), Vision, Dental and Life Insurance </li> <li> 401k (Traditional &amp; Roth) retirement plan + 4% tiered company matching. </li> <li> Transportation perks/benefits </li> <li> Paid Time Off </li> <li> 11 Company Holidays </li> <li> Quarterly Profit-sharing Bonus </li> <li> Employee Discount Program </li> <li> Free Employee Assistance Program </li> <li> Commuter Travel Benefits </li> <li> Occasional Company provided snacks and lunches </li> <li> Additional Voluntary Benefits. .. i.e. HSA, FSA, Pet insurance, STD, LTD etc… </li> </ul> How to Apply: Interested applicants must provide a resume to be considered.
