About this role Pollination Field Associates will support our research trials and projects for the upcoming Strawberry season. Additionally, monitors will be responsible for assisting with data uploading, and project logistics. This position reports to the Operations Manager. This is a seasonal, part-time position beginning in mid-October.Responsibilities<ul> <li>Assist in executing our pollination services to growers</li> <li>Participate in ongoing research and development trials if needed</li> <li>Participate in data collection by accurately recording key points and daily upkeep of data sheets and field notes</li> <li>Work efficiently and in a timely manner to complete daily activities in multiple different fields</li> <li>With the aim of meeting target data collection quantity for the season</li> <li>Assist in crop tagging - tag branches in different crops in a systematic way</li> <li>Provide feedback at the end of projects to determine avenues for improvement</li> </ul>Requirements<ul> <li>BS in Entomology, Agronomy, Plant Sciences, Biology, Ecology, or equivalent preferred</li> <li>Field research experience</li> <li>Interest in pollination and/or agriculture </li> <li>A valid driver’s license and confidence in driving for long periods of time </li> <li>Ability to communicate clearly, consistently, and promptly. </li> <li>Familiarity with Google Suite</li> <li>Comfortable working independently in the field with support from remote manager</li> <li>Must be detailed oriented </li> <li>Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred</li> </ul> Work Environment<ul> <li>Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time</li> <li>Ability to work with bees and wear appropriate protective equipment </li> <li>Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions</li> <li>Must be comfortable working with bees and getting stung</li> </ul>BenefitsCompensation Target: 23/ hourlyBeeflow reserves the ability to adjust the compensation range based on the final candidate’s experience, skillset, and geography.<ul> <li>Opportunity to join an innovative and growing Ag Tech Start up whose mission is to contribute to the creation of a food system in harmony with nature.</li> <li>Work alongside a team of talented and passionate professionals, having the opportunity to make your first steps in the industry and learning about beekeeping and bee biology.</li> <li>Competitive salary</li> </ul>
