Someone to join our Group Consolidation and External reporting team to oversee and manage the financial accounting and reporting for the legal entity PSNY as well as coordinate the statutory audit process for local units in the group. The responsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll ensure that all financial transactions are accurately and timely recorded and reported in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards used such as local GAAP and IFRS. The role ensures that PSNY is reported as per the designed SOX controls for the legal unit. The coordination role ensures that we will file on time as per the legal requirements. Please see a breakdown of key responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee and take responsibility for preparation and coordination of monthly financial closings in Workday and reporting in the AARO consolidation system, including related SOX controls</li><li>Review and analyze monthly financial reporting</li><li>Input into the preparation of the Polestar Group Annual Report and Quarterly Reports filed with SEC in the US</li><li>Lead the preparation of the statutory accounts/annual report, including coordination with external auditors</li><li>Lead the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness</li><li>Lead the coordination for the statutory audit process.  </li></ul> The ideal candidateWe’re seeking a candidate with analytical thinking, strong coordination skills, and a proactive approach to tackling challenges. You’ll bring effective problem solving abilities and strong communication skills to collaborate with teams cross functionally.In addition, you'll need the following: <ul><li>University degree in Finance</li><li>At a minimum 3-7 years relevant experience from similar tasks at an Accounting Department</li><li>IFRS accounting knowledge</li><li>Strong experience in Excel</li><li>Experience coordinating teams under compressed timelines to meet financial reporting deadlines that are common amongst global and publicly listed U.S. companies </li><li>Broad knowledge and experience of Accounting and Financial Control processes and systems in an international context with IFRS and SOX</li><li>User experience in Workday, the accounting system, and consolidation tool AARO is an additional bonus</li></ul>Polestar is an international company, with various backgrounds represented.
