We are looking for a “Head of Finance” colleague to join our team in Madrid, Spain. This position will play an important role in the development and execution of the strategic plans for Cogen and Energy by Cogen.Responsibilities<ul><li>The role requires strong expertise in finance, including FP&amp;A, transaction structuring, integration and corporate governance.</li><li>The Head of Finance reports to the CEO of Cogen Group, with functional reporting to MET Group finance.</li><li>This position will lead a team of ~7 members and ensure high standards of business practices and reporting.</li></ul>Strategic &amp; Financial Advisory<ul><li>Advise CEO and management on financial and strategic decisions.</li><li>Support projects financing, economic analyses and growth initiatives.</li><li>Lead financial due diligence and integration processes for acquisitions or expansions.</li></ul>Financial Planning, Analysis &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.</li><li>Deliver timely reports with actionable insights for management and shareholders.</li><li>Review cost centers and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Ensure accurate accounting, GAAP/IFRS compliance and support audits.</li></ul>Cash &amp; Treasury Management<ul><li>Monitor cash positions and perform cash forecasting.</li><li>Collaborate on debt/equity negotiations for development projects.</li><li>Provide financial input for key contracts and align commercial and strategic objectives.</li></ul>Leadership &amp; Governance<ul><li>Lead and mentor the finance team.</li><li>Hold key corporate appointments (directorships, board secretary roles).</li><li>Serve as controller for subsidiaries and actively participate in management meetings.</li></ul>Process optimization &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Ensure tax, transfer pricing and regulatory compliance.</li><li>Drive efficiency improvements in financial and business processes.</li><li>Undertake special projects to support shareholder and company objectives.</li></ul>
