The goal of a Battery Modeling &amp; Simulation Lead at Wisk is responsible for leading the overall modeling and simulation for ESPS . You will be part of the ESPS Energy Storage &amp; Power System team that deliver the modeling and simulation solutionsDue to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Mountain View, CA office.What you will do: <ul><li>Development and characterization of the ESPS model including but not limited to cell, pack, system, power distribution, charging, power conversation subsystem</li><li>Develop 0D, 1D, 3D modeling including thermal, electrochemical, electrical, mechanical, CFD, degradation, etc </li><li>Assessment on battery architecture, performance. analyze large sets of battery performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cell engineers and ESS engineers, to integrate battery data into broader product development and enhance battery performance in the ESS product. </li><li>Collaborate with cell, test engineers to develop design of experiment for model characterization and validation</li><li>Create and maintain comprehensive reports, visualizations, and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations. </li><li>Release battery ESPS models at different level as plant model for verification and validation </li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Master’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field, PhD highly preferred </li><li>5+ years of hands-on experience in battery, energy storage modeling and battery data analysis.  </li><li>Deep understanding of Lithium-ion battery technologies</li><li>Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, matlab/simulink, with experience in data manipulation, physical modeling, statistical modeling, and machine learning. </li><li>Experience in different modeling simulation tools including but not limited to star ccm+, ansys, GT power, etc </li><li>Experience working with large datasets, performing statistical analysis, and using data visualization tools. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret and analyze complex datasets. </li></ul>Compensation and Benefits:In addition to offering a great work environment and the opportunity to be part of the team making electric autonomous flight a reality, at Wisk, we offer excellent total rewards which include a competitive base salary, annual bonus, long term incentive, 401K, health benefits and much more.  Job Type: Full-timePay Range the Company expects to pay: $205,556 - $241,830 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.We are committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity, and we encourage  individuals from all backgrounds, including those from marginalized or underrepresented groups in the tech industry and aerospace, to apply for our job openings.
