These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.​We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.  Job Description  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Reading of drawings/blueprints, production documentation, complete documentation, maintain high quality workmanship and organizational habits</li><li>Preparation and inspection of components for assembly; cleaning, part verification and fit-checks, grit blasting</li><li>Cutting, stripping, cleaning, inspection and handling of fiber optic cables in preparation for termination</li><li>Terminations of Fiber Optic contacts involving various tools, epoxy procedures, crimping, handling and inspection</li><li>Polishing techniques and methods for Fiber Optic contacts, polishing papers, sequence, handling, inspection</li><li>Knowledge and completion of optical testing including proper use of test jumpers, insertion loss and return loss equipment and documenting measurements</li><li>Oral/Written Communication – Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Records data</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>High School diploma, or equivalent</li><li>Ability to apply common sense in performing job</li><li>Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines</li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals</li><li>Ability to use basic high school math skills</li><li>2-3 years complex cable assembly experience</li></ul>Physical Demands:<ul><li>Good coordination and flexibility in both hands</li><li>Move and occasionally lift up to 50lbs. or more</li><li>Good vision including passing color blindness test</li></ul>Work Environment:<ul><li>Factory environment</li></ul>Personal Protective Equipment:<ul><li>Use of safety glasses</li><li>Use of steel protective shoes or protective shoe covers</li></ul>Training Requirements:<ul><li>ERP and Time clock system Overview</li><li>Teledyne Ethics and Harassment training</li><li>Hazardous Communications</li><li>Quality Systems</li></ul>Employee will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
