Our team is responsible for specifying, scaling, and sustaining the equipment and processes that enable high-quality electrode manufacturing for Form Energy’s Iron-Air multi-day battery.As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership of calendering and drying operations, ensuring that these critical processes meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements. You will partner closely with equipment suppliers, process engineers, and operations teams to define specifications, oversee equipment builds, and drive improvements in throughput and quality. Your expertise will ensure our production lines scale effectively and operate with world-class consistency.This role will be located at<a href="https://formenergy.com/form-factory-1/"> Form Factory 1</a> in Weirton, WV, which is just a short drive outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Relocation assistance is available.<h3>What you'll do:</h3><ul style=""><li>Define process and equipment specifications for calendering and drying systems to meet performance, quality, and safety targets.</li><li>Partner with equipment suppliers and internal teams to support design reviews, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.</li><li>Own process documentation, operating parameters, and equipment standards to ensure consistency across shifts and lines.</li><li>Monitor and improve process performance using data-driven methods, including capability studies and reliability analysis.</li><li>Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to implement preventive maintenance strategies and troubleshoot issues.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase uptime, reduce variability, and enhance process safety.</li></ul><h3>What you'll bring:</h3><ul style=""><li>0-4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on equipment specification, qualification, or sustaining.</li><li>Hands-on experience with web-based processes, calendering, drying, or other thermal/mechanical manufacturing operations.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work with equipment vendors on design reviews, FATs/SATs, and system commissioning.</li><li>Strong foundation in equipment capability analysis, process control, and troubleshooting methods.</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience writing technical documentation and operating standards.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.</li></ul>#LI-Onsite#LI-DL1#LI-JM2Humanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy’s culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that.
