Serving industries such as factories, electric vehicle charging stations, data centers, and critical infrastructure, Critical Loop ensures reliable energy solutions wherever they are needed.Role Description:We're looking for a hands-on Field Electrician to own the electrical work across prototype buildouts, customer deployments, fleet servicing, and facility support for our battery energy storage systems (BESS) and mobile power conveyance equipment. This hybrid role combines field and headquarters-based work, including prototype development, engineering collaboration, and system preparation. The right person is safety-minded, technically sharp, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup setting where systems evolve and close collaboration with engineering is constant.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Install, terminate, test, and commission BESS and mobile power conveyance systems during prototype builds and customer deployments.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on low- and medium-voltage systems both in the field and at headquarters.</li><li>Ensure all work meets NFPA 70 (NEC), OSHA electrical safety standards, and permitting/inspection requirements; support inspection readiness.</li><li>Layout and wire panels, conduit, interconnects, and power infrastructure for deployed systems, prototypes, and facility installations.</li><li>Execute energized and de-energized work safely using proper PPE, lockout/tagout, and hazard analysis.</li><li>Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams on prototype iterations, system updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Maintain clear records of inspections, issues, resolutions, and parts usage across field and facility operations.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or higher) or equivalent industrial/commercial experience.</li><li>3+ years working with power systems, ideally including energy storage or mobile power equipment.</li><li>First hand knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), OSHA electrical safety, and coordination of permits/inspections.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings.</li><li>Proficiency with standard electrical test tools (multimeter, insulation tester, clamp meter, etc.).</li><li>Comfortable performing both energized and de-energized work with correct safety protocols.</li><li>Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.</li><li>Valid CA driver’s license.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs</li><li>Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for extended periods during assembly, maintenance, and repairs</li></ul>Preferred Requirements:<ul><li>Experience with inverters, DC infrastructure, and backup power systems (generators, UPS, ATS).</li><li>Familiarity with mobile or modular power platforms (skid- or trailer-mounted).</li><li>Commissioning and servicing of energy storage or renewable energy systems.</li><li>Knowledge of control wiring, sensors, and instrumentation.</li><li>Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.</li><li>C-10 contractor’s license.</li><li>Class A driver’s license.</li></ul>
