You will provide both strategic leadership and hands-on support, ensuring our facilities are safe, reliable, and scalable to meet company growth.You will work onsite at our Devens, MA office reporting into the Director, Service Engineering &amp; EHS.Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and mentor the facilities engineering team by setting priorities, delegating work, and providing career development</li><li>Establish and maintain processes for preventative maintenance, facility upgrades, and capital projects</li><li>Foster a culture of safety, responsiveness, and continuous improvement</li><li>Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring uptime, compliance, and safety </li><li>Manage relationships with landlord, fire department, and other authorities with jurisdiction (AHJs)</li><li>Manage on-call rotation for facility emergencies and coordinate response protocols</li><li>Develop preventative maintenance programs for building labs, machine shops, facility equipment, and critical utilities</li><li>Ensure readiness and utility requirements for new equipment installation in collaboration with manufacturing and R&amp;D teams</li><li>Integrate facility utility systems such as: HVAC, electrical distribution, cooling water, compressed air, high and low pressure nitrogen, R&amp;D, and test stand operations</li><li>Collaboration with manufacturing, process, and facilities engineers to define and provide project solutions to support new or modified production lines, equipment placement, and testing operations</li><li>Lead integration of facility systems such as: power, water, HVAC, compressed air with manufacturing equipment and test stands</li><li>Manage facilities equipment moves, installations, and decommissioning</li><li>Oversee documentation of facility layouts, schematics, and utility integration</li><li>Partner with Environmental Health &amp; Safety (EHS) to maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements</li><li>Ensure facilities meet building codes and industry best practices, promoting sustainability and energy efficiency</li><li>Lead Emergency Response team alongside EHS leadership</li><li>Manage building fire prevention programs, including fire alarm and fire suppression systems</li><li>Be a main contributor to ISO 14001 certification and Environmental Management System compliance</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline</li><li>7+ years of facilities engineering experience in a manufacturing or R&amp;D environment, 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role</li><li>Strong technical expertise with facility utility systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, water/gas systems) and their integration with industrial equipment</li><li>Proven project management skills with experience leading capital projects and programs</li><li>Experience building design software (ex: Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam)</li><li>Experience managing CMMS (ex: Upkeep, Limble)</li><li>Experience in controlled manufacturing, or hydrogen/chemical processing facilities</li><li>Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS/BMS)</li><li>LEED certification knowledge of sustainable HVAC design practices</li></ul>#LI-OnsiteCompensation and Benefits l M3<div><div><div>Natick Zone</div><div>$123,000—$155,000 USD</div></div></div><div>Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
