This role requires extensive collaboration across multiple departments to ensure successful project delivery, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in manufacturing quality and efficiency.</span></p><p></p><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience in the design, development, and implementation of Powertrain Drive Unit Manufacturing equipment and processes for both brownfield or greenfield projects</li><li>Advanced understanding of robotics and automation systems, including applications in rotor and stator manufacturing, and material conveyance</li><li>Proven track record in commissioning and successfully ramping up automotive manufacturing equipment</li><li>In-depth understanding of mechanical systems, including electric powertrains, motors, transmissions, and related components specific to drive unit manufacturing</li><li>Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, wiring harnesses, connectors, and industry standards for safety, performance, and durability</li><li>Collaborate with design engineering, supply chain, procurement, quality, and production teams to drive the development, testing, and validation of drive units</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes, efficiency, and quality control to meet evolving industry standards and customer expectations</li><li>Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to senior management and leadership teams</li><li>Define the program’s scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate business requirements into actionable plans</li><li>Develop and manage project schedules, allocate necessary resources (personnel, equipment, materials), and ensure timely delivery in accordance with established timelines</li><li>Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate potential risks (technical, schedule, cost, etc.) throughout the program lifecycle</li><li>Monitor and control program costs, ensuring alignment with budget constraints and identifying any potential cost discrepancies</li><li>Maintain consistent and clear communication with internal teams, external clients, and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and status</li><li>Facilitate collaboration across various departments, including engineering, design, manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance, ensuring alignment of efforts</li><li>Evaluate product design changes on manufacturing equipment to support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities</li><li>Ensure project teams prioritize and complete tasks effectively, meeting key project milestones and deadlines</li><li>Develop a comprehensive understanding of the product, production processes, and manufacturing technologies to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for process optimization</li><li>Collaborate with relevant teams to identify and implement critical actions necessary for seamless integration of requirements into the manufacturing line</li><li>Organize and lead meetings focused on resolving issues related to manufacturing equipment design and installation</li><li>Track and implement changes proposed by the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to ensure alignment with project goal</li></ul><p>You bring:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience</li><li>8+ years of experience in powertrain or DU manufacturing program management</li><li>Proven leadership in high-volume automotive manufacturing environments</li><li>Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and DFM principles</li><li>Experience in the automotive industry is a must, preferably in Electric Drive Unit manufacturing</li><li>Extensive launch and commissioning experience</li><li>Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company</li><li>Working knowledge of MS project and AutoCAD is a must</li><li>Working Knowledge of Catia and Delmia is a plus</li><li>Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time</li><li>Possess knowledge and experience across multiple functions within product design and manufacturing</li></ul><div><div><p><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
