We’re creating a new interface between food and energy by selecting nutritious microbes that taste great and can grow on renewable energy-based feedstocks. Our fermentation platform is up to 5000 times more land efficient than animals, which allows humanity to free up vast amounts of land, rewild our planet and draw down gigatons of carbon.<strong><br><br>The Role</strong></p><p>At Farmless, we're offering an exciting internship opportunity where you help shape the future of food production. We are looking for a motivated Food Application intern who will join our team to create the best Food Applications using Farmless protein! The role requires creative thinking combined with a deep understanding of Food Ingredient Functionality.</p><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li><p>Investigate various food ingredient functionality properties of Farmless protein, and link then to fermentation and harvest parameters.</p></li><li><p>Develop various food formulations together with the food application team, and help to understand how Farmless protein behaves in these.</p></li><li><p>Support business development in product demonstrations.</p><p></p></li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><ul><li><p>A background in food technology and/or bioprocess technology. <p>Agriculture has taken over almost half of all habitable land on earth, pushing nature over the brink, and the world needs an affordable protein source that can be produced without the need for agricultural land. Farmless has found a way to achieve this: by brewing carbon-negative, functional proteins with a complete amino acid profile.</p>
<p>The Farmless process combines the ancient craft of fermentation &ndash; which has been used for millennia to brew beer and bake bread &ndash; with a modern feedstock (the scientific term for a starter liquid). &nbsp;Whereas most fermentation companies rely on sugar, Farmless uses a feedstock made from CO2, water, nitrogen and renewable energy &ndash; bypassing the need for agricultural land. &nbsp;</p>
