<h2>Overview</h2><p>The Production Supervisor monitors production processes and is responsible for plant productivity and efficiencies.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><p>• Follows and monitors GMP, HACCP, IIPP, Food Safety and SOPs guidelines; • Completes and maintains production logs and other paperwork as needed for proper documentation; • Sets up, adjusts, and maintains equipment with responsibility for production and quality; • Manages all shift personnel via a direct reporting structure; • Visually inspects and test machinery and equipment to detect malfunction; • Works with management to discuss, diagnose problems and repair machinery; • Operates equipment startup and shutdown; • Communicates plant issue’s and operations with management; • Performs CIP and sanitation operations; • Responsible for upholding food safety standards in the plant including being HACCP certified; • Responsible for ensuring all HACCP verifications are reviewed and signed while on shift; • Assists in providing safe working conditions for all employees; • Develops and maintains positive and professional relationships with all employees and management; • Monitors total plant operations and control of automated systems; • Monitors material flow and instruments to include temperature, pressure gauges indicators and meters; • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery; • Works with QA department to test quality of product; • Monitors and maintains inventory and notifies management if items need to be reordered; • Performs maintenance duties to prevent, improve and during breakdowns; • Ensures product is within quality and customer qualifications; • Optimizes plant efficiency and coordinates plant needs accordingly; • Performs other related duties as assigned. </p><h2>Qualifications</h2><p>• Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate equivalent from an accredited university or; • Minimum 5 years experience in food manufacturing • Ability to speak, write, and read English is a must, some Spanish a plus; • Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, climb stairs and ladders and lift/move up to 50 pounds; • Must possess good mechanical, communication and people skills; • Must be able to follow and communicate directions; • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure and compute rate, ratio and percentage; • Proficient in Microsoft programs. </p>
