Working for GFL is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to grow in your career, make new friends, and make a difference each day.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>General maintenance and operation of a mobile belt press focusing on both quality and quantity of production.</li><li>Set up and tear down equipment at customers’ treatment facilities.</li><li>Maintain clean equipment and work area including shoveling and hosing.</li><li>Abide by regulatory compliance and safety guidelines.</li><li>Operate a tractor-trailer truck on site (non-highway) to stage trailers for loading.</li><li>Operate additional pumps and ancillary equipment on site.</li><li>Make down polymer solution for dewatering process.</li><li>Maintain daily production log.</li><li>Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management. </li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).    </li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li><li>Valid state issued driver’s license.</li><li>Willing and able to obtain a Class D Wastewater Operator’s license.</li><li>Work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends as projects demand.</li><li>Ability to travel as work demands.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>Basic mathematical skills and tool knowledge.</li><li>Ability to follow instructions and perform duties under limited supervision.</li><li>Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform job.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.</li><li>Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.</li><li>Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports to accurately complete daily assignments.</li><li>Ability to judge the distance between equipment and an object.</li><li>Ability to work in accordance with Company safety policies &amp; procedures, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws.</li></ul>Physical/Mental Demands:<ul><li>Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach and lift in an outdoor environment 90% of the time.</li><li>Must be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, climb and balance.</li><li>Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.</li><li>Ability to manually lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly.</li><li>Ability to manually push/move up to 50 pounds with assistance from another employee.</li></ul>Working Conditions:<ul><li>Outdoors in varying adverse weather; low/high temperatures, wet and/or high humidity or sudden temperature changes. </li><li>Exposure to outdoor elements, unpleasant odors, small space such as vehicle/equipment cabs, exposure to fumes, dust, or uneven ground.</li></ul>#GFLTalent  We thank you for your interest.
