In this role, you will be responsible for the administration of all company benefits and leaves of absence as well as a variety of other operational projects and tasks to support the People team. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of policies and procedures, and the ability to handle and communicate sensitive information with discretion.   You will be hybrid out of our Boston Office, with 3 days a week expected. You will report to the Director, People Operations. What you’ll do:  <ul><li>Manage the administration of employee benefits programs such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, and COBRA.  </li><li>Provide guidance and assistance to employees on benefits inquiries and issues, ensuring they receive timely and accurate information.  Work with vendors and management on any escalations. </li><li>Manage the leave of absence process, including partnering with our vendor to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws. </li><li>Maintain company intranet, ensuring all documents and materials are up to date and accurate, and that employees have quick access to information. </li><li>Project manage annual open enrollment, including entering new rates/plans into HRIS system, helping to create employee communications, and providing vendors with enrollment data.  </li><li>Conduct regular audits to ensure all enrollments match between our vendors and payroll system. Address any discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain consistency between all systems. </li><li>Review and audit all bills related to benefits; address discrepancies as needed and submit to AP for processing. </li><li>Lead the Benefits section of New Hire Orientation on a bi-weekly basis; hold benefits trainings as needed. </li><li>Administer compliance training via our third-party platform.  Ensure all employees are assigned the appropriate new hire and annual trainings, per state law.</li><li>Manage the visa application process for new and existing employees requiring work authorization. Act as a liaison between employees, legal representatives, and management to ensure proper documentation and compliance with immigration laws. </li><li>Act as back-up for Payroll as needed, including processing and confirming accuracy of bi-weekly payroll process. </li><li>Work on special projects, as needed. </li></ul>What you’ll bring: <ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in benefits and leave administration.    </li><li>Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.  </li><li>Flexible and ability to pivot quickly as business needs arise. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. </li><li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of handling sensitive situations with diplomacy and confidentiality. </li><li>Proficiency in HRIS systems and reporting tools. </li><li>Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.   </li><li>Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
