If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.</div></div><p>The <strong>Manager – Outbound Transportation</strong> is responsible for developing the right strategy for transportation of fully build units (Import and Exports), safe storage, maintenance and  upkeep of the CBU’s  at the vehicle yard, multi modal transportation opportunities to drive freight cost down, working and developing third party logistics providers, ro-ro shipping liners, rail freight agencies, road transporter network to efficiently manage the vehicle yard inventory and processes. Coordinating with sales team for timely shipment of CBU’s, strategic and technical know-how for safe storage of EV vehicles. This manager would drive the operation with utmost safety, security and integrity of the high value assets under his control.</p><p>The ideal candidate brings strategic thought process, digital transformation, strong team builder and motivator with excellent communication capabilities both above and below his grade.</p><p> </p><p>·       Lead the transportation function for all CBU (Import /Export/ Domestic distribution)</p><p>·       Develop and execute transportation strategies that reduce costs, improve service levels, and support business growth.</p><p>·       Manage a team of transportation managers, analysts, and logistics coordinators.</p><p>·       Select, negotiate, and manage carrier contracts and 3PL partnerships.</p><p>·       Oversee freight audit and payment processes to ensure accuracy and cost control.</p><p>·       Monitor and report transportation KPIs (on-time delivery, freight spend, transit time, etc.) and drive performance improvements.</p><p>·       Collaborate with procurement, distribution, customer service, and manufacturing to align transportation plans with operational goals.</p><p>·       Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and international trade/shipping regulations.</p><p>·       Evaluate and implement transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics technologies for planning and visibility.</p><p>·       Lead continuous improvement projects focused on lead time reduction, network optimization, and customer delivery performance.</p><p>·       Support sustainability goals through efficient routing, load consolidation, and emissions reduction initiatives.</p><p> </p><p>·       Manage, coach and develop a highly performing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements</p><p>·       Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports </p><p>·       Monitor and ensure that staff under supervision maintain accurate material schedules to get the right materials on site at the right time</p><p>·       Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors  </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>·       Strong acumen for freight cost management and budget control.</p><p> </p><p>·       Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience managing cross-functional and remote teams.</p><p>·       Deep knowledge of transportation regulations, modes, and cost drivers.</p><p>·       Proven ability to manage freight spending and drive carrier performance.</p><p>·       Proficient in outbound TMS platforms.</p><p>·       Data-driven with strong analytical, financial, and decision-making abilities.</p><p>·       Excellent communication, contract negotiation, and vendor management skills.</p><p> </p><p>·       Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.</p><p> </p><p>·       Master’s degree or MBA preferred.</p><p>·       10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.</p><p>·       At least 3+ years in a managerial or senior leadership role in logistics.</p><p>·       Experience of managing large teams and complex distribution networks.</p><p> </p><div><div><p><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
