POSITION DETAILS Winrock is recruiting a MEL Specialist for the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Reforestation project in Nepal. This position is contingent upon award.ESSENTIAL RESPONSBILITIES <ul><li> Develop and implement a comprehensive MEL framework tailored to compensation reforestation activities.</li><li>Design and manage databases for tracking project indicators, outputs, and outcomes.</li><li>Lead digital data collection efforts using appropriate tools and platforms.</li><li>Analyze data and produce visualizations to support adaptive management and stakeholder reporting.</li><li>Ensure MEL activities align with project goals, donor requirements, and national environmental standards.</li><li>Provide capacity building and technical support to implementing partners and field teams.</li><li>Contribute to periodic evaluations, learning reviews, and knowledge dissemination.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND: Education:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Natural Resource Management, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline. Master’s Degree is an advantage.</li></ul> Work Experience:<ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in project monitoring and evaluation, including projects focused on reforestation, forestry, environment, or natural resource management.</li><li>Proven experience in developing and managing MEL frameworks for reforestation or similar environmental projects.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to design and manage databases and reporting systems in at least two projects.</li><li>Proficiency in digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO) and analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, or Power BI).</li><li>Strong skills in data visualization and adaptive learning approaches.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.</li><li>Experience providing quality assurance on data collected by partners</li></ul>Winrock is an equal opportunity employer.
