The individual hired for this position will be accountable for leading the Company’s domestic and international regulatory affairs including the management of product registrations and re-registrations while ensuring the compliance of global import/export requirements. This position will be the point of contact for regulatory compliance and will work alongside our R&amp;D and Commercial teams and will play an instrumental role in the company’s success. Among other responsibilities, this position requires the knowledge, skills and ability to understand and execute the following:<ul><li>Managing domestic and international fertilizer regulatory affairs activities <ul><li>Product registrations, re-registrations and renewals</li><li>Product labeling and documentation</li><li>Compliance reporting across multiple jurisdictions</li><li>Regulatory compliance for new product launches, including registration and documentation requirements worldwide </li><li>Monitor evolving domestic and international regulations affecting the fertilizer industry; assess business impacts and implement necessary actions</li></ul></li><li>Execution of market-specific regulatory strategies <ul><li>Tailored regulatory strategies for each market that ensure compliance while enabling the Company to introduce innovative solutions within the fertilizer commodity sector </li></ul></li><li>Compliance of domestic and global requirements <ul><li>Oversee import/export compliance requirements for raw materials and finished goods, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), labeling, tonnage reporting, and tariffs</li><li>Support marketing and technical claims, including enhanced efficiency fertilizer (EEF) claims and secondary mode of action claims</li></ul></li><li>Internal and external collaboration<ul><li>Lead and coordinate external consultants to ensure timely and accurate submissions, strategic support, and timely compliance globally </li><li>Act as a liaison with regulatory authorities, industry partners, and consultants while supporting internal stakeholders on trials, market timing, and business development to ensure compliance</li><li>Collaboration with General Counsel on legal and regulatory matters, including contracts, agreements, and international trade regulations</li><li>Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures, and training programs related to regulatory compliance </li><li>Support cross-functional teams with guidance on regulatory and legal requirements for product development, labeling, packaging, marketing claims, and international market entry</li></ul></li></ul>This individual will report to our General Counsel. EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE<ul><li>Minimum 3 to 5 years of direct regulatory affairs experience in the fertilizer or agrochemical industry </li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or related field from an accredited university or college; advanced degree or legal background preferred</li><li>Experience working with various regulatory authorities both domestically and internationally</li><li>Experience managing regulatory consultants</li><li>Familiarity with legal contracts, compliance policies, corporate governance, and international trade regulations is preferred</li><li>Fluent in other languages to assist in improved communications with external international partners and clients preferred but not required</li></ul>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;<ul><li>Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, continuous basis. This company does not sponsor applicants for work visas&nbsp;</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented </li><li>Self-motivation and drive to exceed goals while working effectively with minimal direction</li><li>Critical thinking, problem solving and deductive and inductive reasoning</li><li>“Day-1 Expert-level” proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate across cultures and regulatory systems</li><li>Strong project and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, internal teams, and external consultants</li><li>Strong knowledge of domestic and global fertilizer regulations (EPA, state-level fertilizer regulations, EU, Canada, LATAM, etc.)</li><li>Strong understanding of legal and compliance principles within a corporate and international environment to contribute to the company’s strategic objectives</li><li>This position will require some travel to industry/company events and field sites – 10 to 25%</li><li>Background checks (criminal/education/employment/reference/credit/DMV) will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company</li><li>If hired, must adhere to all company policies and procedures and other prescribed best practices/industry standards&nbsp;</li></ul>ANNUAL PAY RANGE $75,000 to $115,000 with eligibility for a&nbsp;discretionary bonus &nbsp; WORK ENVIRONMENT &amp; PHYSICAL DEMANDS<ul><li>The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li>When onsite at production/supplier facilities, the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective smock, or face shields may be required.
