This role is based in our facility in Janesville, WI and reports to the Plant Manager.The hours are Mo-Fri from 5.30am until 2pm. Perform fabrication, assembly, and packaging operations.<h2> Principal Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures.</li><li>Obtain components from stock/production.</li><li>Set-up equipment to match product requirements.</li><li>Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate good communication skills.</li><li>Inspect completed parts.</li><li>Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets.</li><li>Correctly label all parts and boxes as needed.</li><li>Visually inspect all incoming pipes, components, and gaskets for defects.</li><li>Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.</li><li>Maintains a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending training that is provided where required.</li><li>Maintains a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training when required.</li><li>Assist in the coordination, preparation, and execution of year-end inventory.</li><li>Completing and maintaining reports for managers as required, which may include:</li><li>Production reports</li><li>Scrap reports</li><li>Other duties may be assigned when applicable.</li></ul><h2></h2><h2>Requirements</h2><ul><li>Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, however, full training will be provided</li><li>Must be knowledgeable in basic math</li><li><h2>Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</h2></li><li>Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn</li><li>Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to chip in to and foster a positive team environment</li><li>Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices is helpful.</li><li>After training, should exhibit an understanding of various types and sizes of pipes.</li></ul><h2>Working Conditions</h2><ul><li>Manufacturing plant environment</li><li>Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and heavy lifting of 50 - 75 lbs.</li><li>The use of hand tools including heat forming, pulling, belling, caps, reducer, saws, gluing</li><li>Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required</li></ul><h2>Benefits </h2><ul><li>401K plan with company match</li><li>Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision coverage options</li><li>Vacation and holidays</li><li>Set schedule with bi-weekly pay</li><li>Basic safety equipment (i.e. safety glasses, ear plugs) will be provided</li><li>Reimburse COBRA costs while transitioning to IPEX benefits</li></ul>IPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant’s accessibility needs due to disability.
