AECOM is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Mechanical Designer/Engineer and Deputy Team Manager to support the design and construction of buildings within the Buildings + Places business line. This opportunity could be based out of either our Markham, Mississauga or Pickering offices,with opportunities for hybrid work available. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior-level Mechanical Engineer with buildings experience to grow into a leadership position. AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture, all the building’s engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design, economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Major Responsibilities: <ul><li>Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team</li><li>Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.</li><li>Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.</li><li>Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.</li><li>Develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.</li><li>Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of contract documents package.</li><li>Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.</li><li>Prepares technical specification sections.</li><li>Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.</li><li>Assists mechanical engineering team manager with mentoring junior and intermediate engineering staff.</li><li>Assists team manager with prioritizing workload and projects for CADD and Revit production technicians and technologists.</li><li>Liases with other discipline leads to meet client performance objectives in an optimized and value added manner.</li><li>A motivated and experienced engineer looking to grow into a dynamic and effective people manager.</li></ul>
