As both strategist and hands-on operator, you’ll align LATAM storytelling with the global narrative, proactively manage reputation risk, and build strong relationships with media and key external stakeholders.</p><h2>What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)</h2><ul><li>Design and execute the LATAM external communication strategy aligned to the global narrative.</li><li>Manage media relations and coordinate spokespeople (you are not the spokesperson); partner closely with Public Affairs for policy/government touchpoints.</li><li>Lead issues &amp; crisis communication readiness (media training, playbooks, rapid response).</li><li>Activate Employer Branding externally: job fairs, university/association partnerships, sponsorships and events.</li><li>Coordinate participation and evidence for certifications with HR/Public Affairs; drive external and internal dissemination.</li><li>Collaborate with PR agencies, business leaders, and sustainability teams.</li><li>Drive LATAM-specific social media content and campaigns; measure and improve impact (program launched last year).</li><li>Develop compelling corporate stories that position Clarios as the global leader in low-voltage batteries and a responsible, sustainable manufacturer.</li><li>Build tight alignment with Internal Communications and Employee Experience so messaging lands consistently across channels.</li><li>Establish KPIs and report on outcomes (share of voice, sentiment, reach, engagement, coverage quality).</li></ul><h2>What Success Looks Like</h2><ul><li>A consistent, positive corporate narrative across priority LATAM markets.</li><li>Strengthened relationships with key outlets; high-quality coverage on strategic topics.</li><li>Improved crisis preparedness (trained spokespeople, tested playbooks, faster response).</li><li>Flawless certification cycles and impactful EVP activations with measurable results.</li><li>Sustained growth in digital reach/engagement for LATAM content and channels.</li><li>Stakeholders recognize Communications as a strategic, solutions-oriented partner.</li></ul><h2>Core Competencies</h2><ul><li>Strategic Communications &amp; Brand Positioning; Media Relations &amp; Issues/Crisis Management.</li><li>Stakeholder/Partnership Development (academia, associations, events); Digital &amp; Social Strategy + Analytics.</li><li>Project Management &amp; Multitasking; Storytelling &amp; Executive Communication.</li><li>Cultural Intelligence (LATAM) &amp; Collaboration; Data-driven decision-making &amp; measurement.</li></ul><h2>What You Bring (Qualifications)</h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.</li><li>7+ years in external communications/media relations/employer branding (multinational/regional contexts ideal).</li><li>Bilingual Spanish/English; Portuguese a plus.</li><li>Deep understanding of LATAM media and risk-aware reputation management.</li><li>Proven ability to set strategy and execute quickly; strong influence with senior leaders.</li><li>Experience coordinating Top Employer / Top Companies certifications; partnering with universities/associations.</li><li>A portfolio of campaigns/content that moved reputation or business outcomes.</li></ul><h2>Work Model &amp; Travel</h2><p>Hybrid (Mexico).
