As a Techno-Economic Analyst, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our technology by supporting detailed techno-economic assessments and exploring synergies between downstream syngas processes and our DAC systems. How you'll contribute Specifically, you will... <ul><li>Support the development of comprehensive techno-economic analyses for DAC and syngas-related technologies.</li><li>Conduct technical assessments of syngas downstream processes and identify integration opportunities with our DAC or syngas systems.</li><li>Perform detailed cost breakdowns of subunits and components using scientific literature, supplier data, and industrial benchmarks.</li><li>Analyze buffering concepts to evaluate how our technology can integrate directly with renewable energy sources via DC-DC coupling.</li></ul> About you You bring... <ul><li>A degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, energy systems, or a related technical field.</li><li>Experience in techno-economic or process modeling, ideally in a chemical, energy, or clean-tech environment.</li><li>Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex technical and economic data.</li><li>Familiarity with cost estimation methodologies and sourcing supplier data.</li><li>A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to a diverse team.</li><li>Proficiency in Excel and/or relevant modeling tools; Python or MATLAB is a plus.</li></ul> What we offer <ul><li>30 days of vacation plus public holidays.</li><li>A steep learning curve and the opportunity to grow into more senior roles.</li><li>An open culture with direct access to founders and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Support for relocation if you’re not yet based near Essen.</li><li>The opportunity to work on one of the most pressing challenges of our time.</li></ul> Noteworthy points This role is on-site and requires regular presence at our facility in Essen. GCT operates a low energy DAC approach to capture CO2 while generating hydrogen as a byproduct. The process consists of 3 main process steps. Absorption in a liquid, precipitation and desorption through alkaline electrolysis. The technology is based on 15 years of research with relevant patent applications filed and working prototypes. The company was founded as a university spin-out by 2 serial entrepreneurs and an experienced DAC researcher.
