The Role in Context  As we expand our trading and operations, we are building robust and scalable data systems in Microsoft Fabric to support real-time decision-making, risk management and operational efficiency. As such, the Junior Data Engineer will support the team in building and maintaining data pipelines, dashboards and analytical tools. Key duties:  <ol><li>Develop and maintain ETL pipelines in Microsoft Fabric to integrate trading, market and operational data.</li><li>Build and manage scheduled data ingestion and transform jobs into data lakes.</li><li>Write SQL queries to pull and manipulate data.</li><li>Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure reliability of outputs.</li><li>Document processes, pipelines and system configurations for ongoing use and scalability.</li><li>Collaborate with the Lead Data Architect on design and in code reviews.</li><li>Work with business analysts to ensure data aligns with trading, finance and operational needs.</li></ol> Candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, commercial awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small fast-growing business. As GreenCo is a regional business, candidates must be willing to travel.  C. Qualifications and Requirements  The Junior Data Engineer will be expected to bring a combination of the following experience, personal attributes and qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics or related field.</li><li>1–2 years of experience in a data engineering, data analytics, or software development role.</li><li>Comfortable with Python programming language.</li><li>Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts.</li><li>Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts.</li><li>Internship or project experience in data analytics, databases or software development is a plus but not a requirement.</li><li>Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is an added advantage.</li></ul> To thrive in this role, candidates should demonstrate:<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.</li><li>Curiosity and eagerness to learn, especially in a fast-paced, evolving tech environment.</li><li>Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Team-oriented mindset, with a collaborative approach to projects and problem-solving.</li><li>Accountability and reliability, especially when working with sensitive or large-scale data.</li></ul> D. Application Requirements  Candidates must submit the following documents:  1. An intermediary aggregator between buyers and sellers can help attract sustainable investments in the power sector on the strength of a multi-buyer model. Its role as a financially sustainable intermediary offtaker and power trading company can also stimulate regional electricity trading and facilitate more efficient use of available and new resources by optimising them on a regional basis.
