We are always on the lookout for future-oriented talent – want to join the ride? Senior Logistics Coordinator, Asian Region (BESS Projects, ES&amp;O Business)Location: Suzhou, ChinaEmployment Type: Full-timeReporting Line: Logistics team in Europe, in close collaboration with Asian stakeholders Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead and develop logistics processes to support efficient supply chain operations for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), as part of Wärtsiläs Energy Storage &amp; Optimization (ES&amp;O) business.</li><li>Coordinate outbound shipments of finished goods from production facilities primarily in China to ports and customers across the Asian region, ensuring timely transportation and adherence to delivery schedules.</li><li>Support inbound logistics when needed, including coordination of component deliveries to contract manufacturers.</li><li>Monitor and ensure the smooth flow of delivery schedules, documentation, and transportation throughout the supply chain.</li><li>Manage export processes including loading, documentation, customs clearance, transport bookings, and vessel loading.</li><li>Maintain and update delivery data in Wärtsilä?s internal systems.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Wärtsiläs logistics, production planning, procurement, quality, and project teams, as well as external logistics partners and suppliers.</li><li>Actively contribute to the development and optimization of logistics processes and tools, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.</li></ul> Requirements and Desired Skills:<ul><li>Relevant higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's or Master?s in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or equivalent).</li><li>Several years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably within internal Asian supply chains and international project environments.</li><li>Familiarity with Incoterms, port operations, export/import documentation, and customs procedures is a strong advantage.</li><li>Proven ability to work independently and proactively, with a development-oriented mindset.</li><li>Strong communication skills in English; Chinese language skills are a plus.</li><li>Solid IT skills and ability to work with logistics systems.</li><li>Attention to quality standards and project-specific delivery timelines.</li><li>Knowledge of dangerous goods (DG) transportation requirements is considered an asset.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.</li><li>Willingness to travel within the Asian region when required.</li></ul> Why you and us We have an amazing team and a clear purpose to exist.
