A hands-on creative who’s looking to step up to greater responsibility.</span></div><br><br><h3>What you'll do:</h3><ul><li><b>Create stuff</b>: join our small content team to create scroll-stopping video and written social posts from <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/DBqlUOYorHn/?igsh=djdyZ3RxNzZ0amk3">memes</a> to <a href="https://youtu.be/ir_BDIOGS-A?si=2bXaFHt90-bypZ7b">mini-mockumentaries</a> to <a href="https://youtu.be/8-WUhBtB_CM?si=CpZxnGPUFjnzR8QM">transparent energy explainers</a>. </li><li><b>Listen and lurk: </b>use social listening tools to predict wider trends and better understand customers, competition and climate. You’ll work closely with our Community Management team and directly talk to customers yourself.</li><li><b>Measure impact: </b>you’ll look at the data to help us test, learn and meaningfully improve our content performance.</li><li><b>Keep the wheels turning: </b>you’ll be responsible for getting our content from idea to feed. We don’t do long-term scheduling and content calendars. Instead with your finger firmly on the pulse you’ll prioritise our output week-to-week to keep it timely, fresh and impactful.</li><div><br></div><div>Social media is 24/7 and Octopus is famous for its customer service. You’ll regularly see our directors popping up on X and Facebook groups to look after customers and this team supports them. This doesn’t mean work all the time, but if you are keen on flexible working over clocking in and out, this is more likely to be a job for you. This is mainly an office-based role, working from our London HQ in Oxford Circus.
