This role ensures robust process design, equipment specification, and launch readiness for new programs, while driving continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing technologies.</p><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Lead the design and validation of manufacturing processes for drive unit assembly, including stator, rotor, gearbox, and final assembly</li><li>Manage capital projects from concept through launch, including budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination</li><li>Lead site installation and commissioning through to handover</li><li>Develop PFMEAs, control plans, and process flow diagrams to ensure quality and reliability</li><li>Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturability of new designs</li><li>Specify, source, and commission manufacturing equipment and tooling for drive unit production</li><li>Lead equipment acceptance trials (FAT/SAT) and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards</li><li>Support program milestones and ensure manufacturing readiness for SOP (Start of Production)</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and improve product quality</li><li>Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer across the AME team</li><li>Work closely with suppliers, integrators, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical requirements and timelines</li></ul><p>You bring:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience</li><li>8+ years of experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing, with a focus on powertrain and drive unit systems</li><li>Proven experience in launching new manufacturing lines and managing capital projects</li><li>Strong knowledge of EV drive units, gearbox manufacturing, and motor assembly</li><li>Proficiency in CAD tools, simulation software, and manufacturing data analysis</li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus</li><li>Ability to travel up to 25% of the time</li></ul><p></p><div><div><p><strong>Additional Compensation and Benefits</strong>: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
