The candidate must have experience with Brakes components such as:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Brake Calipers</li><li>Brake Rotors</li><li>Electronic Parking Brakes</li><li>Brake Lines</li><li>Brake Jounce Hoses</li><li>iBoosters</li><li>ESP Modules</li><li>Brake Pedals</li></ul><p> </p><p>and must have knowledge of processes such as casting, heat treatment, machining, coating, extrusion, bending, welding, general assembly,</p><p> </p><p>Responsibilities</p><p> </p><ul><li>Develop, manage, and improve the APQP process with suppliers from the initial design stage through PPAP submission and the start of mass production.</li><li>Lead design review and ensure manufacturing needs (DFM/A) for Chassis Brakes Systems are considered in the design phase and that proper quality expectations are defined.</li><li>Be responsible for driving and tracking all Tier suppliers responsible Engineering Design Change activities.</li><li>Work cross functional with Design Engineering, Purchasing, New Projects Implementation, Plant level Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Material Planning and Plant SQEs to ensure the proper development of the brake components as well as making sure Lucid plants and final customers are protected.</li><li>Perform supplier assessments, audits and site inspections for sourcing; develop process improvement plans and drive implementation; monitor and maintain performance metrics</li><li>Have ability to travel 25-75% on average on a short term or long-term basis to Lucid Motors and supplier sites globally on a short notice</li><li>Document processes and compliance with ISO9001 and AIAG/ IATF16949 industry standards</li><li>Analyze data from supplier and assembly plant builds to assess capability of meeting requirements to complete the build.</li></ul><p> </p><p>You Bring:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.</li><li>Master’s degree in engineering preferred.</li><li>Minimum 8 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing or assembly plant environments within Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, R&amp;D, or Manufacturing Engineering. Automotive industry experience preferred.</li><li>At least 6 years of hands-on APQP and PPAP project management.</li><li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and drawings. In-depth knowledge of chassis quality standards and specifications.</li><li>Comprehensive understanding of product quality lifecycle stages and associated quality gates.</li><li>Strong analytical skills, technical writing proficiency, and mastery of quality tools (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, DFM/A, GD&amp;T).</li><li>Certification preferred - American Society for Quality, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.</li><li>Proven ability to collaborate effectively, leverage data, and innovate solutions.</li><li>Demonstrated adaptability, a positive attitude, and a strong problem-solving orientation.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on timely delivery</li></ul><p>Please note this role is 100% onsite in our Southfield, MI office.
